If I go to /amember/plugins/protect/new_rewrite/tests/mod_rewrite/1.php, the browser prints "2-second_file" as I believe is expected based upon the forums. mod_rewrite is available and enabled. I've even gone as far as chmod 777 -R the entire amember directory... still, it remains grayed out.

The trick in http://www.amember.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8488 obviously won't apply because the file is encrypted.

    So... any suggestions?

Send amember a tech support ticket.
But it could also be your host doesn't have mod_rewrite enabled.

Thanks David... I definitely have mod_rewrite enabled (I'm my own host) ... however, I just purchased, so now I can hack if need be.
