    Hosting options

Hello, you have a lot of options to host you aMember script, in my experience I have a site running aMember and is working excelent, no incidents with the script, my suggestion is to see a hosting solution that:

    1. Has the last versions of PHP and MySQL, and that get update these versions on their servers as soon as a new release becomes stable. Zend Optimizer needs to be included in that list, a few months ago we have a problem with PHP 4.3.10 and Zend Optimizer. Some hostings are running PHP 4.2.0

    2. Maybe a must is that aMember is running in that hosting (in some domains or at least one), why?, well, while more users with aMember there are more reasons for the hosting to get updated with their client needs.

    3. More MySQL databases, is important, because when you begin to sell on line, then maybe you will forum, or live support, every script consumes a database, off course you can put anything together but it could be some confusing for backups, updates, etc. Is not valid a hosting for 3$ with no database or only one maybe.

I think that there are more reasons but these was important to my decision.

I can offer my hosting services but now there is only in spanish or for spanish community, if this is no problem so take a check at www.infoescomar.net

I run infoescomar.com, my other service with aMember, the best script and the best support you can find overthere.

Unfortunately, aMember Pro doesn't work on Yahoo. They broke down their PHP installation completely, so it is impossible to make it working.

    Alex, thanks for the response.

Although I really, really want to go with Yahoo, if aMember won't work on it, then I'll go with a different host.

Are you still recommending Lunarpages and HostRocket? Your posts are over a year old on those, so I thought I'd ask if you still like them, or if a host that you like as well or better has come along since then.

Yes, we still recommend these hosts. In fact, I never heard anything bad about. You may have a look for our recommedations here: http://www.amember.com/p/Main/Order
