OK I was told this would be easy to set up however I get nothing but problems.. errors galore, support tickets go unanswered.. whats the deal here? I've read the instruction manual front to back and am still having problems. Who can help me? BAsically, I've got my pages done. Now what? php plugin wasnt even installed even though I ordered however I cant get it to work Sorry for my rant but this is crazy....
Please provide ticket reference # that is not answered. You did not ask to install phpBB plugin in the installation request, and it was not installed. Ask for installation and we will install it - no problems at all.
Ive sent various tickets. I've also installed phpbb myself and the plugin. However the system really gives no isstructions how to properly set it up. Also, from search this forum and google it seems many people have requested a step by step guide to properly integrating phpbb. I guess I just assumed when you pay $40 bucks extra for a plugin it would be installed and funtioning properly. I'm just trying to understand this all as the documentation and admin panel is not very user-friendly. Like when i order from other companies, if I choose an extra and an install is offered. The extra is assumed to be working. Its like ordering a new car and paying $1200 extra for automatic shift, and them giving you the car with manual transmission and the shifter and gears in a box...
If there could be just one "RIGHT" way to setup, I would be happy to describe it. However, every website and almost every setup is unique. The plugin IS working, but it is hard to explain in details how to setup it in each case. If you contact support, we will be happy to provide any possible assitance with setup. 11: It's not very difficult if you RTFM. Print off a copy of the manual and read it cover to cover. It will shed a lot of light on the simple operation of the script. Alex does a fine job with support, but keep in mind, he has thousands of users to serve.
I should have posted back. Alex got me all set and has taken excellent care of me. There is a bit of a curve for learning amember but other than that , its wonderul. Thanks Alex.
Hello Group First off I would like to complement aMember on the script and the support. As all things good there is a learnong curve. The support is great and I think I have mine setup to run with the look of the site. I must say KUDOS to the aMember team.
