Hello, We are building one site, that sells annual paid subscriptions (memberships) to online content (example: newsletters). Each person can buy access to one or more newsletters, and view all the content they paid for in their members area - using one login. Ideally, subscribers will access each content area via a menu link. So when a user buys (say) 3 subscriptions, they see a menu link for each of the 3 content areas. Someone with 2 subscriptions, sees 2 menu links. I am wondering if this can be achieved with amember. Thanks
Hi! Before a few months, I bought aMember and got myself to understand that I should have bought it before many years, since I found out about it at that time itslf. Yes, it is a matter of few hours to do what you want. Do this as following: 1. Buy aMember license 2. Buy Xoops plugin 3. Buy phpList plugin Then configure subscriptions (what Alex calls it as products) accordingly. Then when someone buys it, they will have an instant access after payment to their respective subscriptions. The scripts ill change the Xoops groups i.e. from registered users to a paid subscription x and in the phpList to a particular Newsletter mailing ist.
Thanks draj. That sounds like good news. Though I found the demo of aMember here at this site rather slow and heavy going. How does it perform in a real situation. We'll be serving 3,000 subscribers viewing their subscriptions online. Thanks
Hi! You'd be fine with 3.000 members unless you have 10 times more members like I do, who feels like a chicken with a cut head when aMember does not provide many features that are necessary for my needs and wishes, which obviously differs from yours. However whats perfect in this world?
