    Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to encrypt or hide the passwords that are confirmed via email to the end user? Not very secure that passwords are transmitted without any.

    Thanks,

    Bob

You can configure your email templates to not include them and change the lost password function to use a "secure" password link which emails them a custom link that forces them to change their password.

How can I make this happen? I tried looking in Setup/Configuration, but am not finding anything. I also checked the documentation site, but perhaps I'm not using the right search terms. Or maybe this doesn't exist anymore? Thank you!

@techgeek this thread is very old. aMember do not store user password at all (only hash of password).

If you see plain text password in one of your emails then please contact us in helpdesk:

We will help you eliminate it.

    Best Regards.

I went ahead and removed the password shortcode from the email message. Is that all the needs to be done? If not, then I'll go ahead and submit that ticket.

    Thank you!

I guess it was registration email template. Yes, it is only thing you need to do.
