Is it possible to set up aMember Pro to enable site visitors to purchase access to specific pieces of content and retain permanent access to them (but not to content they haven't purchased)?

Each "piece" would be functionally equivalent to a chapter in a book or an article in a magazine. Users would pay as they go, "owning" each piece they read.

In other words, they would not lose access to what they've bought by having an unpaid subscription cancelled.

Ideally, clicking a confirmation link would trigger an automatic debit, if the user chooses to pre-authorize (as with date-triggered subscriptions).

Does that make sense? And...can it be done?

(In case it's relevant, I'm hoping to integrate with ExpressionEngine.)

It is possible to make products with "lifetime" subscription period in aMember.
