Is it normal that the category is appended to the user when she creates a login but does not complete the payment process? PayPal- The potential customer has selected the product She enters username and password -- page two -- She does not complete the purchase - she shows as "pending" and an invoice is not created. The user gets an account complete with category. If product is protected with category, user can access the product if user knows the url. In my case, the product is a folder and the url is known because there are "membership" links on my website. If the non-paying user is logged in, the link takes them right to my protected content. Of course I have changed protection to product, however; I prefer to use categories for its flexibility.
Possibly a bug? Contact support to get it fixed- it should not be letting them in if they havent paid... David
I suspect that it is my fault , basically me not understanding how all the parts work. I looked at the signup form and realized that I had placed the category brick, with the category that gives access, on the signup form. I've removed the brick from the signup form. If there is more to tell later, I will report back.
