Hi, I have a PayPal query, and a general one. PayPal: A client paid for a recurring subscription, then contacted me to say he couldn't get into the restricted area, receiving the message "no active subscription and no payment history" I checked the log at PayPal, and the payment was indeed completed. I checked the aMember admin, the application was there but the 'Completed' check box was empty! Here is the debug: payment_date 06:17:03 Jun 29, 2003 PDT txn_type subscr_payment subscr_id S-2D8153246N192313C last_name Quinn item_name 3six5 Membership payment_gross 11.54 mc_currency USD payment_type instant verify_sign AaI.4pT7aQnklxvz83Ohgw2D.rNLAxEBLSpxTiSWb9zsfaDjrVM2d2.u payer_status intl_verified payer_email jquinn@blueyonder.co.uk txn_id 59K71574A6067243S first_name John receiver_email sales@3six5.com invoice 84 payer_id LNN4Y9XMQELRA item_number 1 payment_status Completed payment_fee 0.75 mc_fee 0.75 mc_gross 11.54 custom 64 notify_version 1.4 Any ideas Alex? ------ General Question: I have quite a lot of people who appear to go through the sign-up form and end up in my Users listing, but the payment = "Never" and status "Pending". What are these entries? Can I delete them? (Pain in the butt!) If they are obviously people 'playing', how come they get this far? Thanks, Peter
If subscription is not marked as Completed, some corresponding error message should appear at: aMember CP => Error Log. Please review it.
I think I see the problem. Lets say you have a paypal biz account called sales@Scriptmonkey.com You can add up to 7 alternate payment emails to this account. So if I set up an alternate email at paypal called scriptmonkeysupport@yahoo.com, then the payment is recieved fine at paypal, but amember reports that the business name does not match the paypal account name returned in the IPN string - and results in an error. Is there a way to specify in amember what your primary Paypal account name is?
