Ok maybe I'm an idiot, but I just can't get this straight. On the paypal site it sounds like paypal pro requires PCI compliance, yet on places here it says paypal pro supports recurring billing and stores data on their server (or at least I thought I saw that). Could someone spell out in plain english, if I want to use paypal (pro, basic, payflow, super-deluxe, whatever all the varieties are), exactly what my options are? I'd love to see a little summary like this that spells it all out: paypal basic: no recurring, you store CC, uses plugin paypal_r paypal pro: recurring, they store CC, uses plugin xxxx payflow: just a gateway, you need separate merchant account Seems like this should be easy, maybe I've just got payment gateway/merchant account/paypal/clickbank/worldpay/etc overload ! - John
PayPal website payment standar - supports recurring billing, cc info will be stored and taken in paypal, plugin: paypal_r Paypal WebSite Payment PRO - have two payment methods: Express Checkout: supports recurring billing, CC info will be stored and taken on paypal. Direct Payments : supports recurring billing, CC info will be taken on your site and will be stored in paypal. Both methods included in paypal_pro plugin. Payflow PRO : suports recurring billing, CC info will be taken and stored in ammeber database. Plugin name - payflow_pro
You may want to update your list of supported payment systems to reflect this. The PayPal info is appears to contradict your explanation. http://www.amember.com/paysystems.php
I have paypal_pro configured and active but see no option in my products to use recurring billing unless I enable paypal_r but now my users see three options in checkout: Checkout with Paypal PayPal Credit Card Payment Any suggestions?
