We are considering moving over to PayPal for our gateway and processing to save on processing fees. We already have a merchant account and use Authorize.net as a gateway. I'm wondering about the pros & cons of aMember's PayPal Plugin vs Authorize.net AIM Plugin for recurring billing.

Is PayPal Pro the same as PayPal's Payflow gateway? PayPal is telling me that a recurring subscribers don't need a PayPal account if we are using their Verisign/ PayFlow gateway.

I've read here that canceling a PayPal recurring payment can not be done in the aMember interface. Canceling requires either the customer or us to log into PayPal. Is this true when using the PayFlow Gateway?

We also offer a prorated money back guarantee, so editing & canceling subscriptions and sending refunds is also a factor for us.

Any general feedback, experiences or comments on the differences between PayPal Pro / Payflow and Authorize AIM is welcomed and appreciated.

    Thanks!
