PayPal Problems

I've already written to Alex, but given the time difference, was hoping I'd find some wisdom here, too.

Am trying to get aMember to allow membership through PayPal processing, and am having two problems (using PayPal's "sandbox" for testing)...

First, PayPal thanks the "customer" (in the final confirmation screen) for their "eBay purchase." Why is aMember triggering PayPal in such a way that they think it's an eBay purchase?

Secondly, aMember is leaving the member as "pending" after the transaction, logging an error message which states that it received invalid IPN data back from PayPal. The exact message is, "PAYPAL ERROR: INVALID answer from PayPal server. Possible hack attempt (Details: txn_id:'1G358131YL101394W', invoice:'50-5')"

Any clue why aMember doesn't like the PayPal IPN response?

Until Alex can take a look at my message, I'd appreciate any ideas/tips from other users... I really need to get this up & running as quickly as possible.

    Thanks in advance!

Please ask PayPal support about "eBay" purchase - there is nothing in aMember
    to trigger it.

Second, it doesn't work just becuase aMember is not designed to work with
Paypal "sandbox". Next verison of Paypal plugin will be able to work, but we
have not sheduled release date for this.

    Paypal Sandbox

Im also interested in the release of a new paypal plugin that would support the sandbox.. it would be great for testing istead of having to send an actual transaction and then issuing a refund.

    Just my 2 cents :)
