We use paypal to process all orders and we are awaiting the paypalpro setup. We have one problem though. If a item has a coupon that is 100% off the user still has to go through paypal is this a bug or is there a way to fix this?

    Thanks,

    John

Question on Paypal Payment and Signup

    Hi

I'm using Paypal for payment processing. Let's say someone goes to
    signup at xxx.com/amember/signup.php

he will then be redirected to the Paypal payment page where he has to login to complete the payment, correct?

Question: What will he see after he completes the Paypal payment? is it the member login page?

Question: If he didnt complete the payment, can he login to the protected area? I've chosen rewrite_new as the form of protection.

Can he see the material in the protected area if he doesnt complete payment?

    thanks

    Yes, correct.

    > Question: What will he see after he completes the Paypal payment? is it the member login page?
He will be redirected to aMember "thanks" page : www.yoursite.com/amember/thanks.php

    > Question: If he didnt complete the payment, can he login to the protected area? I've chosen rewrite_new as the form of protection.
    > Can he see the material in the protected area if he doesnt complete payment?
No, it is completely impossible. It is validated using PayPal IPN and 100% reliable.

WE have used both SWREG and PayPal. PayPal seems to work well right now, but it offers little felxibility in regards to maintaining or downloading a customer database, receipts or monthly html or CSV sales reports.

Why did we move away from SWREG? Server migration and then we were never able to get the SWREG plugin to work. Customers never got keycodes and every pass had to be set up manually.

PayPal worked with no troubles right of of the box.

Any other opinions about which is better?

    Oh... BTW.
What is the default post back URL for SWREG? I don't have the IP address anymore.

We have an integration module for swreg. Contact us for details via helpdesk. It is automated and we are using it on www.amember.com
