When using the paypal_r plugin, the payment report is broken and user payment history no longer works correctly when recurring payment arrives. This is all because the paypal recurring payment overwrites the existing payment in the database. In other words, on subscr_payment, the plugin will update the existing payment. (but not update the total $ paid) As I mentioned this breaks the site payment report and user payment history does not work correctly. Is there any plan to change this or should I not use the paypal plugin? I want to add paypal to another of my sites but I really do need the income reporting, which currently works well, but would not work anymore if I added paypal as a payment processor..
Unfortunately, there is such a problem exists, and there is no exact solution for this. It will be resolved in aMember 3, but it won't be soon.
PayPal 7-day total not displaying I'm not sure if this is the same bug as discussed in the post above... ... My first reocurring test payment (using PayPal) was processed successfully on December 1. Yet when I logged in at: /amember/admin ... And looked at my "Payments for last 7 days", it was $0.00 -- shouldn't it include the renewal payment? The good news is when I clicked the "Payments" link (in the "Reports" section) and checked, the payment displayed perfectly. Any thoughts? If this is the same bug, I'm shocked that we have to wait 'til late version 3 (which I remember seeing in a post about the new affiliate module) will be available in the summer of next year at the earliest.
Markus, unforunately, there is a ploblem with reporting PayPal payments. Please use paypal built-in reporting tools for this.
