I have just upgraded to pro v2.3.4 and tested everything by joining, paying etc. Evrything went fine. Then I cancelled my subscription. I got the email from Paypal, my money is refunded in my paypal account. I was notified via the admin email that the user cancelled. So far so good. The only thing is that my test account is still active (in the admin cp it still shows the period of subscription up to 2012) and I can still login even though I have cancelled my subscription. My question is when does amember pro de-activate a cancelled account? Thanks Terry
I created a ticket and asked Alex and his answer was the account will be de-activated at the end of the 30 days. I suppose that means if you want to de-eactivate the access sooner, you will have to do it manually. Regards Terry
Yes, aMember is working correctly - it revokes access when PAID period expires. https://www.cgi-central.net/support/faq.php?do=article&articleid=10
OK, I can see what Alex is getting at now. A user can cancel a subscription without getting a refund which means that user is entitled to the access he/she has paid for until the end of his/her current paid period. So then the question is if I refund a user their monthly payment (I give them their money back) thru Paypal - does amember AUTOMATICALLY remove their access or do I have to manually remove their access. Terry
Mannually set expiration date It's my experience that after receiving the PayPal refund notice, you must still manually set the users subscription end date to yesterday (or earlier) in order to immediately cancel.
