    The never ending week

I have been in touch with Alex each week, and each time I get the same answer. "It will be ready by end of current week"

It was end of month back in 2008, and not it is end of each week so we are getting closer, i think?

Last update (this week) was that he is just working on the recuring billing section of the plugin and then its ready.

I am hoping any day now guys. All think positive and it will help.

Alex what happened to PayPal storing the card ifo.

The reason we use PayPal in the first place to offload the security to them. I thought this plugin would use PayPal recurring completely, meaning they have the information and ping our ipn monthly.

    :(

Yes and new PayPal PRO plugin works this way already.
Recurring payments are handled by PayPal and Paypal just notify aMember about transactions.

I need to use the paypal_r plugin and the paypal_pro at the same time due to some legacy subscriptions....as well, I use the resend postback feature found in the paypal_r plugin for another script. Do you think it will work to keep the ipn at PayPal to the paypal_r script and resend postback to the paypal_pro plugin?

    why alex

Why does the plugin disclaimer say we need a secure SSL account and that it stores the Credit Card number in the database?

If Paypal is handling the entire process as one of the new recurring products then there is no reason for us to see or store the credit card.

It does :) For those just using the PayPal Pro plugin will the same postback be incorporated into it?....comes in handy if running multiple scripts that rely on PayPal.

Do we have a confirmed release date for either the plugin or the update?

    I really need this now!

    TIA

    Confused?

On 9/8, Alex confirmed PayPal's Website Payments Pro (is actually) PayPal_Pro.

All the back and forth is confusing.

    Are these two the same?

Also, PayPal has confirmed Website Payments Pro handles recurring billing for one monthly $30.00 fee.

Why am I hearing we have to pay $30/month for WPP + another $30/month for PayPal_Pro?

I just received the PayPay_Pro plugin. But now I'm reading where Alex is suggesting we not use WPP until a new release of amember.

I'm running 3.1.8 and way too confused.

Makes me think it might be time to look seriously at WishList....

I have setup PayPal Pro recurring, and it works :) It's awesome. For some reason however, the Payment System it is under is Paypal_Pro_CC -- but it all seems to work the way it should:

Users create their account, choose a plan, then choose either PayPal_r or PayPal_pro_cc ... and if they chose PP_Pro_cc..they get taken to the cc info page.. once they complete that...

when I login to my PayPal account... I see that they have created a rec. payment account, with a trial period etc... works great!

I'm looking to switch from paypal_r to paypal_pro with recurring payments in the next few weeks. I've already done the entire aMember implementation myself. Would anyone who has already implemented Website Payments Pro be willing to spend a few minutes on Skype or phone with me? To talk about the quirks? And what to do with old paypal_r subscriptions? And how to pass the compliance test? Send an email to admin at tothetick.com. Thanks!

    Price

I want to make sure I have the price right. Website Payments Pro WITH recurring billing is $30/mo. (+2.9% fees, etc.) for a customer to signup for my recurring membership with their credit card and not need a Paypal account??

Also, is a Cancel link placed on the member.php page as with paypal_r plugin?

Also, what does the screen look like when the customer pays? I read Website Pmts Pro needs to be integrated with a shopping cart. And will look like the rest of my site, so the customer wont even know it's paypal.

    Can this be Sandbox tested?
