I have a page where people can click to open PDF and other electronic files. If I create a file in my directory it works fine, as you can see here http://www.cardmakingparadise.com/teste/changing_picture_template.html but if I create a folder after amember the only file you can open or see is the jpg one as you can see here http://www.cardmakingparadise.com/amember/teste/changing_picture_template.html - the pdf files are all there, but it's not letting me see them. Can anyone help please?
The problem is that the only thing that should be in the aMember folder is aMember! Your content should be placed in its own folder. To protect it navigate to: Products > Protect Content > click Folders > New Record then browse to the folder containing the files you want to protect and select it. Now people will have to be logged into an acceptable product to view the files. From your description I think this is what you are trying to achieve. If not can you post up exactly what you want your members to do in order to view files?
Thank you - I thought you had to have your folders as 'childs' of the amember folder if you planned on protecting them! I was placing it there to get perfect before making it a product - but now thank you I can do it more easily! Thank you so much for taking the time to answer.
