Anyone know if there is a seperate option for sending notification emails to the admin of pending payments if a member signs up and choses the offline payment? I seem to be getting emails when visitors sign up and pay via paypal or nochex but not when the offline, cheque method is selected. thanks Lee
Alex, I have sorted it now. the site owner wanted to be notified when a new user signed up and selected payment method of offline. Lots of times visitors that select the offline payment option are often to lazy to then send off payment or have a while to change there mind so they do. Now the admin is notified he sends additional emails encouranging payment etc. Thanks Lee
Alex: I am a long time user of aMember and I've never had reason to complain, but the removal of this feature saddens me. In version 2.xx there was an option in the Email setup area called "Send Pending E-mail to Admin". Now in 3.0.8 I see it is gone. This was a VERY useful feature for me. If a payment was coming through, I could see it in stages, while I am working. The pending email would come in, so I'd know I have a hot prospect. I could then monitor the transaction to be sure all went well for the customer. I even had an email account with a special sound to alert me of incoming sales. Some times a pending would coming in with no completed, so I could investigate the cause. For offline payments, it game me a heads up to check our PO Box. It was a very valuable feature for me. Those who don;t need it could disable it. I would respectfully request that you add that function back into aMember in a near future release. I will follow up with a support ticket, I'd suggest anyone else that found this feature useful to do the same.
I agree. An email notification being sent when offline payment is chosen would be very useful as to not allow anyone to "fall through the cracks" Big Thumbs up for this feature!
I read that you added this to the "todo" list. I just wanted to add that I also would like to see this feature. It is nice to know if someone starts to sign up but doesn't make the payment, then they can be contacted to see if they ran into a problem or changed their mind. Thanks,
Pardon my ignorance and I've been meaning to ask -- what do you mean "offline payment"??? -- do you mean the person may sign up online, but mail in a check? From what I have read in the past, I got the impression people were signing-up but payment by credit card were made later when they're back online (why would they be offline first place make no sense to me). I think having this explanation be written in Wiki's aMember Manual. Dave
