OK, I have had the system up and running for about two weeks now (just using PayPal - single one off payment) and everything seems to work fine, all tests worked perfectly, Great!

I sat back waiting for the subscribers to roll in, and so they did, but about 75% of the people who are signing up are left in a Pending status and not completing payment. None of the users have complained and no one has asked for assistance with the sign up.

I suspect that there may be a problem with the URL link provided in the verification email as this is very long and some email clients do not like very long URL's and will not respond to them. It's a bit difficult getting a handle on this kind of problem (if it is indeed a problem) but I would like to know what's going on as 75% of incompleted sign ups is way too high.

I would be really interested to know if any other aMember users have suffered the same problem and have any answers as to what may be going on. I'm very keen to nail this one and provide my users with a painless sign on procedure.

aMember is a great product and would recommend it to anyone wanting to offer services or goods on their site, however I would like to see something done around the email confirmation area to enable a users email address to be verified before they complete sign up. Having read a few threads in this area I know plans may be in place to address this area so I'm just throwing my support behind the idea. In the mean time I'd really like to know if anyone else is having similar problems.

    Thanks.

It happens for any website. There are numerous reasons why peoples don't complete payment, but most common reason is that they are not serious about order.
You may try to contact any of these customers and you will see what I mean.

aMember just allows you to see these records, usually other scripts don't display this information at all.
