    Hi all

I have emailed Perldesk on several occassions in regards to this and I've never received a response...

I know that Perldesk can be integrated with aMember Pro successfully - but does anyone know if there are any add-on's for Perldesk in regards to being able to limit tickets etc.

Here's what I want to do:

I want to offer membership options:

    a. With support
    b. Without support

With support would be something like:
Toning and Fat loss program with 5 x support tickets.

The tickets could be set up / or a set limited to a certain amount when the package is purchased by a member.

I'd also like to be able to offer seperate purchases of tickets such as once the 5 tickets have run out they can purchase more.

As I said I have contacted Perldesk about this several times and no-one responds. I've been looking for a support program with this function for over 7 months now and no-one can seem to help me.

I have had a look at open source free programs that could be altered but I'd rather use something that already ties in with aMember Pro.

If anyone could please help me I'd appreciate it. I am more than happy to pay for someone for the customization to fit my requirements.

Please if you have any suggestions post them in... :(

    Kind regards
    Mandy

Alex, can Desk Pro be tied into aMember Pro to carry out the above?

Alex, I contacted DeskPro about the above and this is what they said:

    Hi Mandy,

Actually this istn't that hard. You can already "expire" a user after a
certain number of tickets - you can easily do this manually. What you want is
to create the user when you create them inside your software, that a tiny bit
    harder, but actually not much.

All you would need to do is inside aMember when you create a user run a single
SQL query on your DeskPRO database that creates the user - then you will be
    done.

In the future we are going to be further improving the integration to have an
API, so that you can send direct commands to DeskPRO from your own program,
this will make it easy for us to provide actual integrations with other
    programs directly.

And yes, both techs & users can reply by email.

You would need the DeskPRO Enterprise license for this to work.

Alex, I admit the DeskPRO Enterprise license is a bit beyond my reach financially - however I could save up for it. Alex, does the above sound ok to you in regards to integrating this program with aMember Pro?

    Kind regards
    Mandy

Mandy, I'm not sure if your site needs DeskPro. I believe you get exactly the same with PerlDesk. DeskPro doesn't solve problem which you are asking about, in both PerlDesk and DP you have to disable user manually.

Only difference is that DP is lot more expensive, and there is no aMember integration plugin for it.

    Hi Alex

I have spoken with DeskPro again and they said they said in version 3 there will be an API to cover this for integration.

Over the past 5 months I have contacted PerlDesk several times. I have used their support desk, via email, their main site LogicNow and they NEVER get back to me. If they can't answer their sales query emails it concerns me what their product support will be like.

On contacting DeskPRO support I have had over 3 responses in less than 24 hours answering my queries. Including some other help too for which I will contact you via the support ticket to discuss with you.

I have no idea about PerlDesk, Alex. Are you saying that PerlDesk and DeskPRO have exactly the same features? When checking out the demos DeskPRO looks like it has more advanced features. But I'd love to know if they are on par with each other.

Does PerkDesk allow the admin and client to respond via email - rather than having to log into the actual support ticket system to reply?

    Kind regards
    Mandy

Mandy, I'm not going to say PerlDesk is better. It is just lot more cheaper solution and would fit for most websites, if PerlDesk seller would have some kind of working support.

Of course, ordering scripts without support is not acceptable, and I don't recommend it then.
