Perldesk Integration

I have updated to 1.9.3RC11PRO and have read in the file readme.txt the following ...

... I have PerlDesk but cannot find any evidence of intergration, where can I find it?

I have changelog for all aMember Pro sourcetree, including all plugins (paid and not-paid).

What benefits are there to the perldesk plugin, what exactly does it do?

It does manage users database in your PerlDesk, so only active/paid customers will be able to use your PerlDesk and ask you questions.

How is this different to simply putting perl desk in an htaccess protected area?

1) Does it mean users don't have to open an identical account in perldesk (one is created on amember account setup)
2) Does this mean users are automatically logged into perldesk, when they enter an amember protected area and go into perldesk they get their account pages immediately?

Sorry for the hassle, I just want to know how it works (it's $40!), maybe there are some docs available.
