Phone Format

    Hi, I'm testing my first aMember pro setup and was wondering how I can change the required format for phone numbers using the Manual CC plugin - I plan to use a gateway for production but want to know how to do this for now!

    The field defaults to:
    Phone *
    enter phone number in the following
    format: 999-999-9999

    I am in the UK and our numbers don't follow a fixed format!

    Appreciate any help/advice.

    I'm also wondering about this. Many of my customers are from around the world and I don't want to block anyone from subscribing.

    This format is not checked, so you specify phone in any format you like.

    Yes, that's true. This is just a text input field and there is no validation on it. You can actually type the phone number in any way you want it.

    So what you actually will want to do is find the place in the language file where it says "enter phone number in the following format: 999-999-9999" and just change it to the format that is right for your country. Then your users will be guided to enter it the way you want them to, but just remember that nothing is going to check it and correct it or prevent them from entering whatever they want however they want.
