Php Safe Mood

Hi there,

I have tried out the installation of member.

But at the end i think it needs the server to deactivate the php SAFE MOOD,
i have written in but the server admin replys with a NO CAN DO.

Are there alternatives? Or i dont really need the safe mood to be deactivated?
