Alex, Any considerations for making a plugin to Phpadsnew? Serving banners and impressions for free is becoming a charity case and manually taking payments is obviously alot of overhead to managing accounts. Integration and automatic payment would be a wonderful addon for banner serving for Amember and those looking for some extra income.
Alex...It's like any pay for product or pay for service integration you have done before. Right now, Phpadnews only allow the admin to create accounts for people. Once a user account is made manually, the user can then login. However, Amember should be the frontend to register and create users in the MYSql DB since this does not exist in Phpadsnew script. 1) Create Amember products and set price 2) Amember signup.php - create account 2) Accept agreement 3) e-mail verification or be sent directly to Paypal 4) Once paid...Create user in Phpnewsad DB 5) Account is created and user can login. This defeats the admin in managing and creating user accounts manually and also has that self-service payment thing. This is the reason we all use Amember - as a membership frontend. The API they have can assist you in inserting registration information into the Phpadsnew MYSql DB. Basically, Amember would be the front end in creating users and the necessary user detail stuff - similar to how you do Vbulletin now. The only exception is that users have to pay using the Paypal plugin you/we have, or if we select the 'Free' plugin for certain products, that is up to us. Basically, it is a real pain to manually take payments and then activate an account based on the product they buy, which is really a service. Something Amember would work perfectly for. Integrating this should be simple and then you will get more customers for Amember and this plugin (extra $$). Phpadsnew does not have payment programs and it should!! It's a great self-service advertising server application that runs on standard Linux, PHP, and MYSql servers. Let me know and I'll send you the necessary docs. Thanks!
