    Hello all

I've already posted this in a ticket, but am hoping maybe one of the other amember user can help me understand what's going on in the meantime.

I have two groups in phpbb: "Registered" and "level 1 users"

I have set up integration so anybody signing up for a free subscription gets assigned to the "registered" group and anybody who buys one of our paid subscriptions gets assigned to "level 1 users".

Now, some users have signed up for a free subscription and then later on have bought a paid subscription. In the case of these guys, their group in phpbb is always "registered" which is not what we want. We need them to be "level 1 users".

In the phpbb configuration in amember dashboard ive moved "level 1 users" to the top of the groups priority list, so in theory any paid uses should be put in the "level 1 users" group, but its not working. If they have a free subscription they get assigned as "registered" in phpbb no matter what I do.

Access to a private forum in phpbb is one of the perks we offer for buying a subscription with us. The forum is only available to level 1 users. As it is, people are paying and not getting access. This is a BIG problem for us.

Does anybody have any light to shed on this? :)

From the main page of aMember what do you have in "Protect Content"->Integrations ? This is where you'd assign the lvl1 users group to a specific paid subscription.

Yes. All the integrations are set correct. All paid membership types are assigned to lvl1. The free membership is assigned to "registered".

There was a bug in phpBb plugin - instead of selecting a group with higher priority, it selected a group with lower priority. Fixed version of plugin will be included into 4.2.15

    Thanks for fixing this Alex.

Can I assume my local version of the plugin has been fixed? As in, I dont need to wait for the update, right?

Is there a way to choose the group assigned by product signed up for?

I knew where this was in V3 but can not seem to find it in v4.

OK, looks like this is in the phpbb plugin setup.

In this case I had to add it manually.

How do I get it connected with the purchased product so that this is automatic?

You can configure groups to product relations in aMember CP -> Protect Content -> Integrations section.
