PhpBB3 Admin Account Died After Plugin Install

My board was working fine and then I installed the phpbb3 plugin. That went fine also.

However, a few days later I tried to login to my phpbb3 admin panel and now I get this message:

I'm able to login as a basic user with a single login, the same as amember, cool!

but now I can't login to administer the forum, not cool

how to I make a user the admin of my forum again?

You need to log into the board AS an administrator. You should have been given an admin account at time of phpbb3 setup and from there you change permissions for your new user to have admin permissions

A trick I use for some installs is to create a new product in amember called admin product, disabled and with admin privalages for the CMS system. Then I add this product to my own user account.

here is what worked for me

in amember control ADMIN panel browse for the users and find yourself

change the setting

"phpBB3 Administrator
phpBB3 Founder"

to YES

that changes your credentials back to admin good luck to others.
