    I was testing in the signup screen and got the message,

    account already exists. login to your account blah blah

    Instead of hitting the back arrow and retrying, I just typed in different login info for a new user on the same screen and hit continue. Then I got this great error message...

    Plugin 'V1' is not enabled. Died

    Sandi,

    Is http://livinglearningbooks.com/ at least your site? (that would be very scary if it was not!)

    Couple of things:

    1. Can you get into your Amember CP?
    2. In Setup/Configuration-> Plugins (/amember/admin/setup.php?notebook=Plugins) is there a plugin called V1?
    3. Can you FTP to your server?
    4. In Do you see any strange folders under /amember/plugins/protect?

    I got an answer from tech support. It seems that if you have an error in your signup.html file it can cause this error. I found a syntax error in my file that I inadvertently caused while trying to rearrange some things in the layout. When I corrected the html error, the V1 error went away.

    Hope this helps someone later down the road.
