Does anyone know if it is possible to go from the shopping cart (specifically 1shoppingcart) to the aMember signup page instead of vice versa? I would like to be able to have the customer order and pay for their membership first, then create their account. Please help!
Can't currently be done unless you are willing to have 1sc signup, then passed to an amember free signup page. David
Okay, I guess that's the trade off for ensuring the right account is being paid for. I just think that it would increase conversions with the payment first.. Maybe that could be an option sometime soon in the aMember 1sc integration?
Unless 1sc starts using XML-RPC to connect with amember, or amember starts allowing IPNs to create accounts, it cant be done. An alternative is a new cart called Ultracart. They use XML-RPC to "talk" with amember, so the payment is made, and amember is told to add the member. David
for my integration? Take a look at the demo site- you can choose any of the ones there, and I also have lifestyle, chrome and church done. David
Hi David, I got the UltraCart and hooked it up to aMember and that system works very well. The customer never sees an aMember signup page at all. My only question is, for the monthly subscription do I set it up in UltraCart to continue that or do I set it up in aMember so that it will pick up after the initial payment? Thanks for your answer, PowerLife
I've only briefly gotten into ultracart, but from what I can tell, its all ultracart handling the payments, renewals from here on in- amember controls content access. David
