For our service, we have a one-time set-up charge and a then a monthly subscription. We have set the "Set-up" charge as a "lifetime" subscription. This automatically sets the renewal date as a day in the year 2037. The month subscription is set to "monthly" as expected which sets the renewal date as 1 month in the future. The problem is this: When the set-up and subscription are purchased together, the monthly subscription does NOT renew correctly as it should. One month after the original subscription, it seems to me that the system looks at the MAX renewal date for the 2 products that were purchased together. It sees the 2037 date for the set-up charge and decides that neither item should be renewed. In v3 of Amember, we could set-up each product with its own renewal date calculation. What are we doing wrong now?
Here is a screenshot illustrating the problem. After the customer signs up for both the Set-up and a monthly subscription, the field "next rebill date" is set to 2037. We must then manually correct it to point to a date 1 month in the future. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3RAUNrzg0H5b05GSkIzT2Q2WkxvMVBua3dKSUFEdjQ1Wkc4/edit?usp=sharing
I just upgraded to amember 4.4.2. The problem with the "rebill date" is still present. Here is a screenshot of a new signup for both the Set-up and subscription. The rebill date is set to year 2037: http://awesomescreenshot.com/03d2uxhh3a I suspect that I should set different renewal groups however, there is no way to add a new renewal group. For me, the renewal group dropdown is empty and there is no link "add renewal group": http://awesomescreenshot.com/0e22uxi2d7
