problem with the amember-pluggin with joomla 1.5

I have figured out how to get this to work to some extent, yet still having problems with logging out of the administration page with the amember joomla plug-in activated. I have sent another ticket to the helpdesk here to see if they can help troubleshoot further. This is not a problem if the plug-in is de-activated.

Has this Joomla 1.5 issue been resolved/remedied? I would like to know before I purchase.
Also, Do you need to purchase the plug in for Joomla, in addition to the $179?
