Okay here's what we're trying to do. Have a free 30 day trial based on coupons.. we have coupons set to 100% discount. Our regular subscription is 30-day recurring. The free trial would be 30 day, non-recurring.. so after 30 days they have to go buy a 30-day recurring subscription. But, we want it so that they can't get a 30-day non-recurring unless they have the coupon.. so is there a way to make it so that if the coupon field is invalid or blank it won't let them sign up? Thanks, Anthony
No, it is impossible to setup it EXACTLY this way. 1. Create a special product, lets name it "TRIAL PRODUCT" with some price, not-recurring and 30-days length. 2. Make a coupon that gives 100% discount and can be used with only "TRIAL PRODUCT". 3. In the settings of your "Subscription" product, set "Require Another Subscription" = "TRIAL PRODUCT". So, there is only one glitch - if user subscribes directly to "TRIAL PRODUCT". May be put it into hidden (negative) price group?
