    hello all,

I'm setting up an online paid subscription phpbb and wordpress website while having the public being able to have SOME access only to see. I'm still playing around with amember trial and it's looking really good so far. But as the title has it, should I move my phpbb and wordpress forum into the protection folder? Does it naturally protect the content form Google searches. I don't want parts of my paid subscription content showing up in google searches, while allowing it to have parts of my free content part if it wants.

Actually is it even possible to put a forum or blog inside the protected folder while having the public see parts I let them see while not letting them comment or post things?

    Thank you.

If you put phpbb, or wordpress in a protected folder the search engines wont be able to get in.

I'd suggest you use the amprotect plugin. This works very well at integrating wordpress/amember.
