I need to upload large (150MB+) files but the "Max Upload" for aMember is 4MB.

When I upload a file, it states the directory is mysite.com/amember/content/f/id/1

But, there is no /amember/content/ folder -- so there must be a redirect happening or whatever.

How can I manually upload my files via FTP and then protect them in aMember one by one (instead of using a folder)

    Thank you!

Most of your questions are covered in this page from the aMember documentation. Basically you can FTP the file to "http://yoursite.com/amember/data/upload" and then choose the file with the file picker feature (see details on the documentation page).

If you plan on dealing with many file of this size, you really would be better off using the Amazon S3 service which is supported by aMember.
