    Hey,

I have been trying to understand the .htaccess for about an hour.

    This is what i have:

    Members Directory:
/members/ (Contains .htaccess that amember put there, works great!)

    Image Folders:
    /members/images/
    /members/sets/set1/ /set2/ etc etc

Images, if you request these URLs then it dysplays all the images in the folder in a standard folder listing and anyone can see them, however when ive tried putting htaccess in the folder then the image are no longer dysplayed on the page.

    Am i missing something obvious?

How can i protect the images but still have them come up on the other pages?

    Thanks for your time, :)

    Slater

Slater, try to open just one image, not folder, when you are logged-out and you will see what happens.
Which method of protection you are using?

I'm having the same issue - I have members html pages that show graphics - but don't actually want members to be able to go to the image url and take my samples.

Are you sure you have the same issue? And what is issue? At least for me, it was not clear.

My apologies for not replying sooner. The problem I had was that if somebody typed in just the folder, not specifiying the complete url, it would bring up my folders and image list.

I went through my server and they have now fixed my folders so that if a person doesn't type in the complete url, but just a folder name, then it will direct them to the index.
