I have one site and want to implement two levels of access.

First offers basic access to the site except for 4 pages.

Second offers access to the entire site.

What I need to do is protect those 4 pages. I use NetObjects 10 and it uploads everything in correct folders. All the html pages are in one folder 'html'. It is easy enough to protect that entire folder for the second level of membership.

The problem is that when I cannot individually protect those 4 html files that need to be protected for the first level of membership. When I create a new folder and put the files into it in order to protect that new folder, those pages vanish from the site.

So I need to know how to protect those 4 pages.

In my File Manager, the folders are organised like so...

www-->mysite.com-->assets and html folder (contains all the html pages of my site)

I am new to site design so really need help with how I can protect those pages.

Maybe setting up a subdomain would solve the problem. Then the main site and the sub site would falle under the same membership?

I'm not familiar with the software net objects 10, but it sounds like it has something to do with that.

Can you switch to saving the files locally, and use an FTP program to create your new directory and upload the files manually?

    Thanks for the reply.:)

EEdit....Found the answer! :) There are settings in NetObjects 10 that allow you to change the way the program structures your files.
