I have a site that is running 3.18PRO. I need to updated it to the latest version. I have another site coming online and need to buy another license. Can I just use the download to upgrade my 3.18PRO or do I need to pay for both? I am sure you guys want the $$$$
Each DOMAIN NAME needs it's own license. You can have something like this under one license amember.domain.com www.domain.com/amember www.domain.com/amember322 but once you change the domain name you must buy another license. www.domain.com = 1 license www.domain2.com = another license. HTH
Not really an answer I want to buy a license for Site B. Site A just needs the new files installed (upgrade it from 3.1.8 to 3.2.3) Site A already has a purchased license. It just needs the updates. The update subscription has expired. If I install the files on Site A, is there anything that will prevent me from doing that? Does the aMember script check the status of the license and prevent me from upgrading the files? I understand aMember wants the extra $80.
@CrackBaby: The aMember license actually only allows for one installation of aMembebr on a domain: http://www.amember.com/p/main//License/ @aai2on: Technically speaking there are no validation checks that would prevent you upgrading an existing installation that has had its support expired. I would contact support to be sure from the licensing terms of this, however.
