   I understand that if a customer makes a purchase (or signs up for a free product) through an affiliate, that customer is always tied to that affiliate.
   
   But what if a customer comes in "cold" - with no affiliate? Will a future click on an affiliate link result in a commission? Or will that customer always be without an affiliate?
