So... we just integrated our backend subscription program with amember and with everything fully debugged, and tested with several payment proccesors everything works like a charm. Thanx Alex for all your documentation, patience and advise throughout this process.... A+ for customer service.

Now.. i'm curious about implementing another level (plugin) into our publishing model? Here's the senario i wish to establish, just curious if it is possible.....

We are using one installation of amember on our corporate site for handeling all subscriptions to our publications. With that being established already i'm thinking about converting all of our content, on each of our publications(4 diffrent sites), over to Joomla to take advantage of the (registered/public) articals, and forum features. All of these site are on the same dedicated web server. Sparing the basics of the plugin I know it should work seemlessly for one site, my question is if a subscriber in amember is an active member of a paticular product can I allow them into one Joomla site but not the other three, or do i have to allow them access to all the sites bc it is only one databse?

I just purchased the plug-in and about to start playing around with it but figured I would ask here to reassure myself this can be done before I spend to long.

    MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE

As I understand it you are asking if one aMember installation can be used to drive access to multiple Joomla sites?

Assuming each Joomla site is for a single product then if you set up each Joomla site with its own database and have one plugin per Joomla site (name them Joomla 1, Joomla 2 etc) it might work. You can configure each plugin to link to a specific Joomla installation simply enough. I am assuming however that if you do the above, aMember will display the product configuration page with all 4 plugins listed (because of the different names) so you can set access to each site individually on a product by product basis - I've never tried doing that, perhaps Alex can comment?

If each Joomla site contains multiple products then things could be more complex.

    I hope that helps. Ianh

If you contact support with ftp info /amember cp login info we could do that. Of course, registration in all 4 mambo scripts must be disabled.
