Recurring Billing Question (Pre-sales)

    Hello,

    We have been looking at aMember Pro and from the features and feedback of people here, it seems it will do most of the things we need for our adult membership site(s).

    I have couple of questions regarding recurring/membership billing :confused: :

    Based on what we know, recurring billing is handled by Payment Processors such as CCBill, iBill, Verisign, etc.

    1. How does aMember know whether rebilling transaction was approved?. Say, in case customer closes the CC account and rebilling is declined. Membership will need to be terminated/suspended at aMember. How does this happen?

    2. How does aMember handle cancellations of rebilling? Most membership sites out there have their users/customers go to payment processors to cancel memberships. How will this work here?

    => Will a user need to cancel from aMember? In this case, how will aMember notify Payment processor to discontinue rebilling?

    => If user cancels from the payment processor side, how will aMember know that it needs to cancel/suspend membership of that user?

    Any insight on this will be greatly appreciated.

    Great question...

    Yes, it's possible that I would like to have this script installed on 3 of my adult sites. Can someone help us out in answering those questions?!

    I went ahead and e-mailed support directly on this one.

    Here's what I asked them. More of a clarification than a question.


    Alex said this is how it works for my particular setup. I would shoot support an e-mail. They get back to you pretty quickly.
