I'm in the process of installing and configuring aMember. I mistakenly setup my root directory as /zach/amember and would like to change it. Is the best place to do this in my Admin Cpanel, under Setup/Configuration, Global? Also, does my root directory have to reference /amember, or can I change it something like /membersonly or /membership?

Finally, as I make this change, I realize I'm probably going to have to go back and change some other areas to reflect the new root. I know I'll need to reconfig the url in my Protected Folders area...what other areas do I need to visit and change the url?

Thanks so much in advance for helping this extreme beginner!!

    1) Go into your amember admin / setup and change the root URL and secure URL locations
    2) in ftp change the directory name

Make sure you do #1 first!!!

Are your protect folders in a subdirectory of /amember?
If not, they should still be ok.
If they are, go into protect folders and reprotect them.

when you say "in ftp change the directory name" are you talking about in the FTP I'm using, Cyberduck, or in my File Manager folder I can access from my hostmonster.com cPanel?

    Hi zkeeper99,

Yes, change the directory with the FTP you are using from /zach/amember to your desired name.

    May require some file transfers.
