Setting up a new site and a helper thinks I have been doing it wrong for years when it comes to the secure URLs MY WAY: Protected content at: http://mysite.com/members/ aMember installed at: http://mysite.com/amember/ aMember secure URL as set in the CP: https://secure.mysite.com/amember/ When I modify a template in amember, I have to upload it to both locations on the server. I originally installed this way with my first version of aMember back in 2004 because my secure certificate was at https://secure.mysite.com/ to work with a shopping cart. QUESTION #1 With a new install, and not using that shopping cart, which is the preferred method: https://mysite.com/amember/ or https://secure.mysite.com/amember/ QUESTION #2 On the older sites that continue to use https://secure.mysite.com/ is there any reason to continuing having amember and all its folders / content in two locations? Can't it all be on the https URL if I make all links point to it? (do I really need it in two locations for one site?) Thanks, Jimmy
Jimmy, 1. This really does not matter what url you will use. So use that is beter for you. 2. You can leave aMember only in secure location. (Don't forget to change Root URL to https url as well)
