so on our site we are selling downloads, and we want to be able to give our customers a 'trial' two-month membership when they sign up. Basically, sell: the product for $75 a trial member $10/month, free for two months. Ideally, the customers would lose access to 'updates' of the download product if they didn't have a subscription. Is this possible? We don't want to sell the download product on a subscription basis, as this may lead to confusion, because they can use the purchased version on an unlimited license. the updates are where the subscription comes in. Does this make sense?
Can you bundle the download product and 2 mos trial into a single product? Trial price would be the product price, 2 mos. trial period followed by $10/month. David
we could but then PayPal says something like: $75 for two months, then $10 per month.. this gives the impression we are charging them to use the product... which isn't true. What's the alternative?
there is no allternative for paypal website payments standart. For Paypal PRO you can create two separate products so when user will be redirected to paypal (or on CC info page) he will see two separate lines.
