Setting up Autoresponder with Existing Members

I am looking to set up an autoresponder for existing members. My question is simple: Will the emails all go out immediately because we are way after the signup date? Or will the emails go out on schedule starting on the day I set them up in the system?

If the number of days after field is based on signup date, then setting up an autoresponder for existing members means I'm just going to blast everybody with the entire series immediately.

Let me know.

The members who have passed the day in your autoresponder sequence will not get the email.
