Hey I am new to amember. I have FTP'ed the directories a few times from a few clients, all set to binary. The setup.php works and I am able to have the system connect to the database, but other pages admin/ for exmample give me the:

admin/index.php] has been uploaded in ASCII (text) FTP transfer mode and is broken.
Please re-upload file in BINARY mode.

but I am done the FTP several times in binary mode. beyond, try again and make sure I am in binary mode, any ideas?

    thank you.

@drknyc: Is this the trial version or the Pro version?

I would suggest uploading the .zip file to your server and then using CPanel (or some other web based file manager) to unzip locally on the server. The upload will be much faster and you will ensure that all files are uploaded and in the right format.

Hey SB, Thanks we figured it out. We needed zend optimizer. The error it was throwing referred to binary v. ACSII and when I read all the info on that error, I assumed that was issue when in fact, it just needed ZO. Thanks for the reply.
