    Hello,

    Here's what I'm interested in.

    I run a membership program.

There are free memberships and they get access to only part of the site and forums.
There are for-fee memberships and they get access to most of the site and most forums.
There is a premium membership and they get access to everything.

Is this all possible with aMember?

Does it allow free trial memberships that automatically convert to a paid membership if not cancelled within a defined timeframe?

If a member cancels, will that automatically cancel their access, as well as recurring charges?

Can this run on a Windows server?

    Thanks!

    Steve

Yes, it all possible and EASY to do with aMember.
However, aMember does not work on Windows server.

BTW, what is advantage to use Windows servers at all? I believe Unix servers provide you exactly the same features, but lot chapear and lot more reliable. Am I wrong?

I thought that some people have successfully run aMember on a Windows server (without the file/directory protection, which I do think I would need).

My site's always been on a Windows server and is written in ASP.

I'm afraid that if I move to a Unix server, I'll have to spend a lot of time learning Linux and making changes. Or is it easier than I think?

    Thanks,

    Steve

Well, if site is written in ASP, then there are really no reasons to migrate.
