Is there any plan to add a "Shopping Cart" feature to Amember in the future? If so, any guess when it would be implemented. I heard that you can integrate a CMS which may have such a system, but I'd hate to go through all of that, and then find out Amember will have on in a few months. Thanks!
Can you give us any information on what type of features will be in this shopping cart? I was looking at osCommerce (or CRE loaded), but am also looking for a subscription manager.
It will not be as featured as OsCommerce. If you need to sell tangible goods, it is still better to go with specialized shopping cart system.
Alex, Would this plugin give you the option of allocating shopping credits to paid members? For example, someone signs up for membership level 1 at $49/month, the system would then give that member 200 credits each month they stay subscribed. The member can then spend the credits on the products and get immediate download. Thanks Pete
that's good to know they're still working on it. I'm sure some of us will like to sell few items without having to get third party and plug-in.
2 years later....where is the aMember shopping cart? I would need one for both tangible and electronically delivered goods. I have found some other shopping cart software (not purchased any yet), but since I am very happy with my aMember package, I would prefer to have an aMember shopping cart.

The original aMember Admin post states that this was going to be release soon (back in October 2006), now the aMember Admin states "soon in aMember 4" - over 1 year later. I have a need for this too and have been waiting for 11 months! Can we get a date please???
bummer on not having a time line given some upcoming projects (and a 1-2 year gap in any real development on the product) options such as ubercart are starting to spring up offering digital download e-commerce options and 3rd party integration (in this case open source and web 2.0'd up). It is well supported by the community (150+ contributed modules already) and can't beat the price (free) example live site: http://shop.rifftrax.com/ (I especially like the "if you like this product, you should also consider this product" option they have added) on this example site. Like to stay with Amember given the time, site development and user base I currently have invested in it, but not knowing more on product features and time line make to tough when considering new projects. In researching old forum posts I see messages dating back to January 2007 regarding Amember 4 so getting a feel for when we may see a beta may be enough of an idea (30 days / 60 days / 6 months)..
