I'm trying to figure out how this may be done. I'm using aMember and vBulletin together (with the vB plugin for aMember), and what I need to do is to have a "12 month system" in the forums where each 30 days (or according to each month [ie, 31 days in July, 28 days in February) a new forum will appear for the Member (paid through aMember). I've seen this on a few forums, but I can't find the actual solution for accomplishing this. So, if a member signs up on June 1st, then by July 1st they should have access to the 2nd month forum(s). Does anyone know how this can be done?
Hi clenard1, Yes this can be done. I think this question is better directed at vBulletin's forums/helpdesk. Lee
Hey Lee, Thanks, but I was told to post it here: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=309298 I just saw the latest reply there, but I'm not sure if this is going to help or hurt since the "kinks" he mentions sounds about right, in theory, and I'd hate to go through everything only to find out it messed something up along the way, and then start over from square one. I actually posted here because I figured that someone must have some type of solution, or might have been through this before.
BTW, the reply on vb.com mentioned that his theory was based on a yearly/annual payment, which isn't what I need. My membership will be based on both Monthly and Yearly. Thanks
Hi Clenard, Just to clarify - to achieve your desired membership site (open a new forum monthly), is controlled in vBulletin. aMember doesn't control this. Have done aMember + vBulletin integrations with success and members who are using your method of open new forums monthly. And I believe the second reply is much more helpful in detailing how this is done in vBulletin. From my experience, this is not the first time vB forums ask to redirect the question to other forums - vBulletin is a forum software with many features, that some of their users do not know all of the features and functions.
