Signup for Free is not working

    When someone registers for my site, it seems like they are logged in yet cannot go to protected pages.

    The problem is that they are listed as "pending" until I go in and manually approve them.

    I want them to have instant access as soon as they register. Can anyone help?

    Registration is free and I am using the "Free" plugin.

    Admin CP -> Setup/Configuration -> Advanced:

    Uncheck "Manually Approve Users"
