This all started out as a wonderful experience turned into a nightmare. Used the Trial Version of aMem and amProtect and all was great. Migrated to Licensed Version the nightmare began. In short, to simplify everything, we flushed the whole installation and started from scratch. Installed WP all appears ok. Installed aMem and appears ok. Install amProtect all appears ok Install - Membership Academy Amem Widget looks ok. Login windows pop up on restricted pages. Try and Join and go to the Signup Page Get the following Error Code 03/15/2010 10:25:40 /member/signup.php ERROR [256] Smarty error: [in signup.html line 266]: syntax error: unclosed tag \{if} (opened line 118). (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 303) in line 1102 of file /home/thedart/public_html/member/smarty/Smarty.class.php Try and Go to the Member.PHP page and as well get the following error code. 03/15/2010 10:25:49 /member/member.php <b>WARNING:</b> Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/thedart/public_html/member/member.php:1) in line 1633 of file /home/thedart/public_html/member/common.inc.php Your help would be greatly Appreciated
Sounds like you edited one of the templates and removed a {/if} tag or something by mistake. Maybe in the header.html David
Do you have modifications in templates or php files? Try to reupload all files from ammeber PRO package again or contact me in helpdesk and provide access info.
Took your advice. Uploaded the new Signup and Member pages from original files and the files work. I checked our change log, and we never did modify does files. That is what had me stumped. Word from the wise men KISS. Keep it simple stupid. Thank You! I should have used my uncommon sense and uploaded these files 3 days ago. Thank You for waking me up. Need to go back to the uncommon sense department. Who would have thought of just changing the files. Only a genius using uncommon sense would use a simple solution. All us normal mortal tend to get bogged down in the common sense way of thinking. I never modified the file. How could it be wrong. Why should I change it. Ok, kick me. Sorry for wasting your time. Thanks again.
It could be that when the files were uploaded originally the FTP program inserted a space or two during the process.
