Have looked around for an answer to this to no avail.

Anyhow, for one of our products we require students to provide documentation to prove the fact that they are students.

Is there any known process we can set up where they can upload a file (for instance a scan of the required document) or send in the document, before finalising the payment?

Or do we have to do this all manually?

Wouldn't someone need to verify the document first anyway ? Or is there some barcode or ID # that would count as digital verification?

A barcode would be optiminal! Unfortunately it will require someone to verify the document.

So was hoping to two stage the signup - provide details and documentation, before being allowed to proceed to payment processing and finalising the signup.

Perhaps you could initially send them a signup link that does not allow any product selection with instructions for emailing or uploading their docs. Then once you review the docs you could send them another link that allows them to pay and pick a product. You need to intervene so you there will necessarily be 2 steps no matter what.

Yeah that process sounds reasonable enough and is probably the best way to go about it - I'll pass it by my team.

    Cheers.

I allow clients to sign up online but require a written contract to be signed and sent in before I will activate their account. You can set it up so new signups require manual activation.
