I'm trying to use SMTP.com to send email from Amember, but am running into some trouble. I've setup amember's email configuration to use smtp.com as specified here: http://www.smtp.com/support/client-config And I'm able to successfully send a single email. But subsequent emails fail. I'm thinking it has something to do with SMTP authentication (SASL), since SMTP.com says that must be ON, but Amember has no option for that. I've tried specifying my hostname in the form usernameassword@smtp.com but that didn't work. It doesn't seem right anyway since my SMTP.com login is my full email address (username@domain.com) Any thoughts on how I might work around this? thanks!
Acvtualy authentication will be set to Yes in amember automatically if you specify login/password for SMTP. Also if you can send single email then configuration seems to be correct. How did you test this exactly? Did you receive any errors regarding SMTP in ammeber CP -> Error/Debug log?
No error messages there, no. Another strange thing, though... I have two installations of amember on two different sites. Both are setup the same way. But one works and one doesn't. The message I see in the popup when I test smtp mail is this: Email method verification There was an error sending the email message SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.
